Palau

NEW MOON!!!

Palau diving is unique, thrilling and very diverse. Hook into the reef or drift through the channel as sharks, mantas, and large schools of fish coast by in the current. Explore historic World War II wrecks, or soak up the view as shafts of sunlight pierce the transparent waters of undersea caverns like Blue Hole…  And don't forget a visit to the world-renowned Jellyfish Lake to complete your trip.

An idyllic paradise above and below the surface, topside Palau treat scuba divers to the archipelago's emerald green jungle-covered rock islands surrounded by clear turquoise waters.

“My recent trip to the famed Galapagos with Richard Salas exceeded expectations, as he organized all aspects of our diving and land excursions, with a mind to convenience, enjoyment and safety.  We encountered fantastic array of marine animals, including hundreds of hammerheads and other sharks, sea turtles, marine iguanas, and over 30 nudibranchs.  The entire group learned a lot through Richard's photo tutorials, not only in terms of lighting & taking better images with the camera, but also editing images afterward.  You do not complete a Richard Salas trip without becoming a better photographer.  At the end of our trip, we visited a giant tortoise ranch and witnessed a coplating pair, the male finishing with a groaning "mooing" sound.  Participating in Richard's dive adventure left us all pleasantly mooing! No wonder I've already signed up for another dive adventure with Rich.”

“I have had the pleasure to be a part of two of Richard Salas’ trips to Hornby Island to dive with the Steller sea lions and I cannot say enough good things about my experiences on his trips. From a photography standpoint, his photography is extraordinary, but he also possesses the skill and desire to share his expertise with others which is extremely special. His brings a knowledge of lighting objects from a career in commercial product photography and applies it to underwater photography in a way that in unsurpassed in the underwater photography world. His ability to make “less exciting” subjects come to life is magical and he is willing to share with others as much as they want to learn! He is also extremely friendly and helpful and attracts an amazing group of people on his trips. In 2019 it was my first time diving with the Steller sea lions and I also had very limited experience in a drysuit. Richard very generously offered to accompany me on my first few dives until I felt comfortable and I had such a great time that I returned in 2020 and will be returning again in 2021!:)”
